• Centro Properties Group purchased Sunshine Marketplace, Sunshine, Melbourne with the aim of further expansion.
  
• They saw the opportunity to develop the Centre, and in particular the Food Court, in this rapidly growing area.
  
• Their goal was to relocate the Food Court near to the Cinemas, introduce light to the area and activate the main throughfares.

Challenges

• Most of the Food Court operators and tenancy fitouts were tired and outdated.
  
• Customers dining preferences and expectations had progressed but the food offer had not.

What FCA was asked to do

• Work with existing tenants in Diners Life, Food Court to introduce current trends in concepts, product and merchandising.
  
• Assist the operators to raise the standard of the food court commensurate with the high quality design of the new food court and the adjacent competition.

• Reviewed menu usages and highlighted opportunities for development.
  
• Set Best Practice Standards for the Food Court.
  
• Reviewed all fitouts to ensure suitability from a food perspective and compliance with Best Practice Standards.
  
• Met with all operators prior to re-opening to provide recommendations to maximize merchandising opportunities.
  
• Met with all operators after opening to ensure Best Practice Standards were being implemented.
  
• Assisted operators with the implementation of Best Practice Standards and sales maximisation.
